Peter Scartabello's first classical release since 2005, this album focuses primarily on his music for winds. Threshold (2004) was commissioned by clarinetist Sarah Ladd for her clarinet quintet in Montreal, Quebec CA. Tsathoggua (1996) for classical guitar was the first piece written for Peter Scartabello's Yuggoth Cycle, an ongoing series of pieces inspired by the writings of weird fiction writer H. P. Lovecraft. The cycle now contains over 20 pieces dedicated to the gods and landscapes of Lovecraft's Cthulhu Mythos. The piece is played by French classical guitarist Julien Payan. Rounding out the CD are two pieces for woodwind quartet written between 2002 and 2003.
